Tuesday June 26th: We took a tour of Paris and saw the main attractions. It was nice to get acquainted with the city and learn some history of the city and sites. After the city tour we headed to the Eiffel Tower. Luckily we were able to skip the day-long line to go up, because we pre-bought lunch tickets on the first level. Good thing we had those because there was only one elevator in service, so it really was a line that took all day. We enjoyed a yummy lunch and then headed to the second and third levels (by stairs of course). What a view! We took a boat ride on the Seine River and went to Notre Dame. We finished the evening on Chams-Elysees with shopping, pizza and macaroons, YUM. Oh yeah and we went to the Arc de Triomphe.

The tomb of the unknown soldier from WWI.
Wednesday June 27th: We went to Versailles. It was gorgeous. The grounds and gardens were beautiful. I couldn't believe how big it was. Our favorite part was when we went out to Marie Antoinette's Hamlet. It was a heavenly little place. SO worth the extra walk! After Versailles Shane and I went to the Louvre and then went to see Roland Garros. The Louvre was crazy huge and impressive, knowing that we didn't have a lifetime to spend in there we pretty much hit up the popular pieces and went on our way. Shane was pretty bummed about that ;) Our last stop was at the Eiffel tower where the World Cup was being shown on a huge bubble screen. There were thousands of people out watching and hundreds of law enforcement out with their machine guns. I didn't last very long.
Hall of Mirrors
A long but beautiful walk through the grounds to get the Marie Antoinette's Estate. We took the train ride back :)
The Louvre
Rolland Garros
A sparkling sight to see!
